This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website or send us an email.
Email enquiries
When you email us, we process your email address, message, and any name, attachments or other information you provide. We use this information to respond to questions, feedback and other enquiries about the publication. Consulting enquiries may be handled separately through CloudX.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Where you personally request steps towards entering a contract with us, Article 6(1)(b) may apply instead.
Providing information is voluntary, but we need an email address and sufficient information to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, passwords or confidential client material by email.
We use Google Workspace email to handle enquiries. This website does not provide a contact form. Our contact address is bza@cloudx.dk. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing.
General enquiries are retained for up to 12 months after the last correspondence. If an enquiry leads to an assignment, relevant correspondence may be retained separately for contractual or legal purposes.
Website operation and security
We use GoDaddy for website hosting and Wordfence, provided by Defiant, Inc., together with Limit Login Attempts Reloaded, to help protect the website.
Hosting and security functions process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, and browser information to deliver the website, investigate errors, and detect or prevent misuse.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functioning website under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
Wordfence Security Network participation is enabled. This shares information about suspected attacks, blocked requests, and failed login attempts with Wordfence to support threat detection and protection. Depending on the security event, information processed may include IP addresses, requested URLs, and technical request details.
Remote visitor IP-location lookup through Wordfence servers is disabled.
Retention of technical information
GoDaddy archived access logs are configured for 30-day retention.
Wordfence Live Traffic records security-related activity, subject to a 30-day limit and a maximum of 2,000 records. Records may be removed earlier when the record limit is reached. Cleanup runs daily.
Our GoDaddy backup plan provides access to the previous day’s website backup. This is the restoration window available to us; it does not establish that every internal provider copy is deleted within one day.
These local limits do not determine retention of information transmitted to providers’ own systems, which is governed by the applicable provider terms. Failed-login controls may also retain IP addresses and attempt counters for detecting repeated abuse; we retain this information only while needed for security and investigating relevant incidents.

Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it through the same preferences. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Server-side cookie-consent recording is disabled. Your choices are remembered through the browser cookie described above.
The theme is configured to host Google Fonts locally. We do not currently operate a newsletter or use affiliate links.
Service providers and international processing
We use GoDaddy for website hosting, Google Workspace for email enquiries, and Defiant for Wordfence security services.
We have selected Europe as the storage region for email data covered by Google Workspace’s data-region policy. This does not mean that all processing or support access takes place within Europe.
Our providers and their subprocessors may process personal information outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Their published data processing terms provide for applicable transfer mechanisms, including adequacy decisions covering eligible transfers under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
